TA Teams Look at AI to Address Chronic Hiring Delays
Bottlenecks, increasing time-to-hire and rising candidate expectations have strained hiring efficiency across industries.
Talent acquisition teams met their hiring goals just 48% of the time in 2024, the lowest success rate recorded in the past four years. According to interview-management platform GoodTime’s annual Hiring Insights Report, persistent bottlenecks, increasing time-to-hire and rising candidate expectations have strained hiring efficiency across industries.
At the same time, the report sees a number of key opportunities this year, including greater use of AI and automation, streamlined hiring tools and a renewed focus on candidate experience.
In the course of its research, GoodTime discovered that about 60% of organizations faced longer time-to-hire last year, delayed primarily by interview cancellations and scheduling delays. Nearly all talent acquisition teams, 99%, used AI and automation to streamline hiring processes, and 93% plan to make new technology investments during 2025. Meanwhile, top-performing teams were 55% more likely to focus on improving the candidate experience.
