Despite Predictions, HCM Vendors Aim AI at Improving Employee Experience
The Wire: New research complicates questions about the priority of employee experience in today’s world.
Providers of HCM management suites are developing more advanced tools in order to improve the employee experience and maximize workforce performance, according to a study from Ventana Research.
That’s not new. Back in 2021, employers prioritized solutions that strengthened their workers’ experience and engagement. More than two-thirds, 69%, said creating a positive employee experience was their top concern. Some 42% were considering ways to use technology to support engagement.
At the same time, the findings present another rub in the debate over the priority given to employee experience in today’s world. Last year, some observers predicted new business realities would force employers to reevaluate their priorities in the area.
But employers today face a tight labor market and worker demand for more flexibility, on top of complex workplace logistics and a need to optimize their labor spend. Those forces are particularly at play within industries with a significant number of hourly workers, Ventana said.
