AI Efforts Drive Up IT Costs, but ROI is Hard To Quantify

Implementation of AI-powered features is adding to the overall cost of business software, according to a report from Forrester Research.

As reported by CIO Dive, 80% of U.S. companies confronted increased software costs in the last year. Two-thirds of the technology executives surveyed said the increases were driven by AI capabilities and other new features.
